Last weekend, I was finally able to try Silantro (in Kapitolyo)! I know it’s been there for quite a time and been hearing, seeing lots of good things about it but never had the chance to try. For my first Silantro bite, we ordered Beef Nachos (P180) and Lamb Chop (P350). The Beef Nachos were exceptionally good. I’m not big on nachos because I think it’s just a generic dish but Silantro’s version was so good I couldn’t control myself from eating it! The cheese, the guacamole, the nacho chips, salsa and THE beef chunks(!!!) went well together! Well, this is one of their popular dishes that everyone had it on their tables. I just think that it was a bit bland, but there were 3 extra sauces (garlic sauce, guacamole and that spicy sauce) that you can mix and put on your nachos to make it taste better. I liked all three sauces together! :)
The Lamb Chop was flavorful. We had ours medium-well and it was just the right doneness to fully enjoy the experience. The gravy that went with the dish made me want to finish it bite after bite.Medyo matakaw but the food was really good, so how could you resist that gluttonous temptation? :p
Considering the value for money and quality of food, I’d say that this one can be one of my go-to places every time I feel the need of good ‘comfort food’. Next time I go back, I’m eyeing on trying Silantro’s Burrito and Calliente Wings! I’ve spotted those 2 dishes on most of the tables so must be something good to try as well! :) Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina 75 East Capitol Dr, Kapitolyo Pasig (02) 654-9657 New Branch: Up Town Center, Katipunan Ave, Quezon City
